A curving wooden bridge winds through a lush green forest, surrounded by dense foliage and trees. The sunlight filters through the leaves, creating a serene natural atmosphere. A sign is visible near the base of the bridge, indicating a trail or area. Camrock 3 mountain bike trail.

Mountain Biking Camrock 3

*****   Add a review
#15 of 387 mountain bike trails in Wisconsin
#744 in the world

Fun technical singletrack with a mix of everything from easy flat trails to technical rocky trails to doubles to drops and big tables. Multiple trailheads are available, but a great place to start is in Cambridge. The trailhead at 301 W Water Street is right across the creek from the Cambridge Bike Park. The trails along the creek are a great warm up. Fast and flowy with great scenery. Fun for all ages and rideable by all. The trails are well marked for ability from green to double black, and all major trail junctions have trail maps as well. Generally the trails on the lower elevations are best for the beginners, for intermediates head up the hills, and if you want to get sendy start working to master Mayors Playground Jump Line. Once you have that mastered head over to Gregg's Place and see if you are ready for the next level.

Rider questions

Q: A suggestion on those steep climbs is to go high instead of low. If you spin out you still have the option of moving to the low line. It been working for me on those lines since we built them.

Q: When does it look like the trails might open?
A: Check out madcitydirt.com. The trail status is regularly updated there along with other spots around Madison.
