Mountain Biking Gashouse Gulch
#209 of 1,383 mountain bike trails in Colorado
Gashouse Gulch is about 5 miles long and it runs from the Baldy Trail, past the Gashouse Gulch trailhead, and then down back towards the other end of Baldy. Some sections of Gashouse are smooth and flowy, some go up, some go down, and some are full of amazingly chunky rocks (one of the most technical trails at Buffalo Creek aside from Blackjack). This trail is really a mixed bag, so it is hard to pin it down, but one thing is for sure: You need to ride it!

From Colorado Springs, take US 24 to Woodland Park. Turn right onto CO 67 and go to Deckers. Continue straight onto CO 126 approximately 20 miles. Parking is on the right just before the bridge at the Buffalo Creek Forest Service Work Center. The trail starts on Buffalo Creek road on the left of CO 126 just over the bridge.
