Mountain Biking Prospector Loop
#194 of 416 mountain bike trails in Arizona
A fast beginners to intermediate (only if youre into speed) training loop. The trail has no markings but is the only trail in the area as it is undeveloped gravel desert. The trail is well used and doesnt have any technically difficult spots or climbs but is a good training loop that is easy to get to in the east valley.
In a counterclockwise loop all the north and eastbound sections are generally uphill with all the south and west bound sections generally downhill.
Route finding is easy, if you lose the track just look for powerlines and follow them east or west to intersecting paved roads, Or look south for the park or rodeo grounds and make your way back to the starting point. Visibility is good and getting lost is not a concern.
