Mountain Biking Windrock Bike Park

****   Add a review
#11 of 202 mountain bike trails in Tennessee
#266 in the world

This trail is currently being constructed and only spanned about 6 miles at the time of this writing. The trails are extremely technical (much more than any in the area) and include some difficult climbs, a small jump line where all jumps can be bypassed, fast and flowing singletrack, and very steep, rocky, and technical descents. The trails are designed/made by an ex-professional downhill racer, which explains the difficulty level. As of now, it is an out-and-back with small loops that can be redone if desired. The planned extension (I think) will make a complete loop. Volunteers are free to work on the trail if desired.

Update 11/25/16:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Windrock Park is opening a new uplift assisted mountain bike park in Oliver Springs, Tn. The bike park features nine trails including a new flow trail and improved intermediate terrain.
"The terrain at Windrock Park is amazing and anyone who has ridden the mountain bike trails can see that the potential has always been huge," said Neko Mulally, professional mountain bike rider who, along with fellow professional biker Sean Leader designed and built the park. "When the opportunity came up to develop the trails into something bigger, I had to jump on it."
The bike park is laid out on 550 acres nestled in the Cumberland Mountains on the Windrock Park's property, which is a total of 72,000 acres. The park includes nine trails ranging from one mile to one and a half mile long each dropping 1,100 vertical feet taking an average of five to ten minutes to complete. There are connector trails to give riders the option to combine trails.
"We have designed the bike park to best utilize the natural terrain of the mountain," said Mulally. "We improved the existing trails to add flow and added new trails to put together a really fun layout."
The shuttle will run every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm from November to May and be available for private bookings during the week. Riders can self-shuttle Monday through Friday. The shuttles will run every 10 minutes and can fit 25 riders and bikes per shuttle. The trails will be continuously maintained to provide the best riding experience.
To ride at the park, you must purchase a pass, which can be obtained at the Windrock General Store located at 912 Windrock Road, Oliver Spring, TN. For all the information, visit windrockbikepark.com.
Windrock Park consists of 72,000 acres in Cumberland Mountains of East Tennessee and features over 300 miles of off-roading trails. The park also has a full service campground, primitive camping, cabin rentals and the Chuck Wagon Grill, which has an extensive menu. The entrance to the Park is located at 912 Windrock Road, Oliver Springs, Tennessee.
