Mountain Biking Greenwater Park

***   Add a review
#111 of 307 mountain bike trails in Oregon
#4,998 in the world

This trail is ideal for beginner MTB riders and children. It begins with an easy 1 mile loop in the woods just across the river from the park. Cross the bridge back into the park and proceed west to a gravel path that passes under Hwy. 58 alongside Salmon Creek. Follow this trail approximately 1.5 miles to it's end near the Willamette Fish Hatchery.
The hatchery itself is a wonderful destination for children. There is a miniature golf course, an aviary, fish feeding, and a free museum among other attractions.
See Salmon Creek trail description for further riding possibilities from the hatchery.

Perfect spot for a raw beginner. A nice wide, smooth trail. Not a root or rock on a trail through beautiful woods along a cascading river. If this doesn't get you hooked, nothing will.

Very easy, very flat singletrack and doubletrack trail. The views of the river are gorgeous--this would be a great place to take a beginning rider.
This also works as a great starting point for the Larison Rock loop.

I rode this trail the other day in the middle of winter and didn't get the slightest bit muddy or wet. It's an excellent place for kids to ride. It's flat, wide and well-groomed.
For the more advanced rider, this is a great starting point for the Salmon Creek, Flat Creek, and Larison Rock trails.
