Scott County Park is located nine miles North of Davenport, Iowa. Use exit
#129 from U.S. Highway 61. The entrance to the park is located on 270th
Street. Trail head is located at Pride Lake. After entering through the main
gate, follow the road to the first right hand turn. That road will take you
right to Pride Lake. Over flow parking is on the left hand side of the road
across from the lake.
This is my first time visiting Scott County and I rode with my 7 year old daughter. The trails were well maintained and fun for us both. The only complaint I had was that for first time visitors it is hard to figure out where you are in the trail system. Both the FORC supplied map and the park map list numbers on trail intersections but I never found a marker that had a number on the trails. We didn't get lost but did have to stop multiple times and reference to my strava track to try and locate where we were.
Thank |Great course. 10 mile loop, stay to the right for all of it and left for shortcuts. Qcforc.org for trail status.
Thank |Fast and fun trail system. Mostly easy going trails that you can really rip on. Some "hidden" harder trails to ride with skinnies, log piles, and a few dry creek crossings
Thank |2016 Update: Some of the new reroutes in the prairie are poorly executed. Much slower going and therefore you're out in the sun longer.
