Mountain Biking Paneveggio Nature Park
#7 of 105 mountain bike trails in Italy
This ride is easy, great for starters and if you dont do the climb, you can even take young kids. The forest and lake are just so calming and the power of glacier water is so evident here.. A great beginners delight!

The ride starts at the Paneveggio Centro Visitatori , from here you need to get back onto the main road, SS50 and head uphill towards Rolle Pass, on your left you will see the road which goes to Valles Pass, but do not turn, keep going straight. You will see a small car park on the left, where the tour for Val Venegia starts, continue about 300m and on your right you will see a track (after the bend in the road) and here is the start of Tour 233 , you will see the signs. Follow these pretty much well always straight, through the beautiful forest, to Lake Fortebuso, keep left of the lake. There is a steep climb , then a variation off to the left to see the war graveyard. When you come back out then continue left towards the hidden zone called Valont and Valonat, you are now close to the dam of Fortebuso. Once the loop is done, you head back to where you came from. Dont forget to take a turn off along the way for a place called Forra di Travignolo, something beautiful in there !
This is a great easy ride for any MTB rider, dont be fooled not to go just because its simple, the views are spectacular and the forest awesome.. You can add it onto your Val Venegia or Alpe Lusia tour for a few more KM's
