Mountain Biking Arcadia Trail #328
#326 of 417 mountain bike trails in Arizona
Techincal trail that begins climbing switchbacks for the first 1/2 mile, about 400' climb, then it's all down hill on narrow trail and ledges. If you fear heights parts of this trail will scare you. You'll ride in fir/spruce forest and descend to the pine/oak forest. Lots of shade but this forest burned about 2004 so much damage. There used to be a section of tall ferns, starting to grow back. The Forest Service put about 200 8" logs across the trail to control erosion making riding this trail much tougher. Noisy beetles click in summer.
