Mountain Biking Bean Canyon Loop
#473 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado
Description: You can do this loop either clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Each has its advantages. Do both and decide for yourself which one you
like best. This describes a clockwise route.
Exit the parking lot on the singletrack. At mile .69 turn left at an unmarked
trail junction. You will cross CR 31 at mile 1.77. Follow the singletrack …
there are really no trail junctions or decisions to be made. You will recross
the road at mile 9.9. Bear slightly left to pick up the singletrack on the
other side of the road. At mile 12.25 you intersect the Boggy Draw Trail.
Turn right and follow it back to the parking lot.

Directions: From Cortez, take Hwy 145 north 10 miles to Dolores. In Dolores
turn left on 11th St (turns into CR 31). Drive about 3 miles on 11th, and turn
right on Road W. East on W about 1 mile, cross the cattle guard and park in
the lot in the left.
I've ridden this trail both directions and both are pretty fun. A lot of folks bitch about the climb back out of the canyon, but its really not that bad. Great ride. Best in the Boggy.
Thank |Only trail ridden up boggy draw. Great views & scenery, a must to ride again. Roughly a 2 hr. ride, cross a few river beds & a little muddy in spots. Definitely recomended...
Thank |Most of the trails in the Boggy Draw network are fast, smooth, and nontechnical. That's true for most of this loop, too. However, if you hope to clean this loop, however, you'll have to be on your game. There are more things going on that'll keep you on the edge of your seat.
