Mountain Biking Manly Dam
#3 of 169 mountain bike trails in New South Wales
Mixed loop with about 80% singletrack, 20% roads/fireroads. Incredibly challenging at parts and very rocky. Steep downhills, steep climbs, but some awesome flowy sections mixed in. The trail is a mix of exposed rock, baby heads, sand, mud, hardpack, and boulders. There is a lot of variety for such a short trail. The view of Manly from the top of some of the hills is really great. The downhill to the creek crossing on the north end is totally awesome. Bring a Full Suspension rig if you got one, there are some serious drops on this trail.
If you are traveling from abroad and don't have a bike, you can rent one from in town and bike the route on the directions. Its all "bike trail" and is about 5km from downtown. Ask for a map or directions on how to get there. It's a beach town so its fairly bike friendly.

From downtown Manly go North on the Beach Trail. Stay on the trail and go to Kenneth, go West on Kenneth. Turn North on Quirk and then West on Innes. Jump across Hwy 10 and continue West on King St. Go South on Gibbs and the trailhead starts at the top of the hill behind the School.
