Mountain Biking Deadman's Ridge
#65 of 711 mountain bike trails in Utah
Not a fast trail by any means, Deadman's Ridge is probably the most technical trail of this network so far. A mix of slickrock and hard pan this is a great option for those riders looking for more of a challenge than the Bar B or Lazy trails. Some short technical climbs and drops mixed up with some very tight switchbacks will keep riders on their toes throughout the 3 miles. At just about the half way point there is a turn off to the east and a short connector to the Bar B trail near the intersection with the Rockin A Loop. Numerous route options here. The remainder of Deadman's continues winding around the contours of the ridge and then steeply drops down and ends at the paved trail from Moab. Head up hill on the pavement .7 mile back to the Bar M Trail.

North of Moab on UT191 8 miles to the Bar M Trail parking lot on East side of highway. This trail is within the Moab Brands Trail Network, numerous signs and maps available throughout the system. From parking lot either ride the 2 mile Lazy single track to its south end or follow the Bar M loop south (along side paved trail) until it turns east and meets end of Lazy. The North end of Deadmans Ridge starts directly across from this point.
Fun technical rocky descent. Good warmup for burlier rides in the area.
Thank |Great trail system. There are a couple areas where you need to keep an eye on trail markings. They are there but hard to see when focused on the rocks.
Thank |This is one of the more challenging of the Moab Brand trails but still not too threatening for an intermediate rider.
Thank |My favorite trail that I rode at Moab Brands. Great switchbacks and a lot of rocks! Plan it into your loop when riding at Moab Brands.
Thank |Entertaining technical trail with a great descent. While technical, there are no major moves to make, and no big drops. It's just entertaining rocky fun!
Thank |Probably one of the most technical of the trails at Bar M. I rode this wet just after a light rain. No dabs and I rode north to south. No dabs or dismounts. Well marked trail with red line throughout the entire trail.
Thank |Just rode this collection of newly engineered trails known as Moab Brands Mtn. Bike Trails. Deadman's Ridge is by far the most technical of the trails here, so far. There are numerous rock stunts and moves to make here, back and forth on singletrack and rock. Excellent use of natural features. A lot of work went into making this trail what it is. Out and back is around 6.5 miles, to the intersection of Bar M, Bar B and Rockin' A trails is about 1.6 miles. Great trail to tie into others.
Thank |This is a fantastic piece of singletrack! It's continuously technical and in the most entertaining way. You get lots of transitions, ups, downs, sharp turns, and steps both up and down. This trail, while short, makes the trip to the Brands Trails worthwhile.
Thank |The southern half of this trail was just opened a few days ago and some sections are still pretty soft. Watch the corners! After a little rain and several hundred riders this should be some great rail-able singletrack.
