Mountain Biking John Brown
#72 of 289 mountain bike trails in Florida
One of the more technical trails at Santos, John Brown is pumped full of heart pounding, leg pumping, singletrack action. Great short, sketchy climbs and descents, big rocks and fairly decent ledges, semi-tight switchbacks. What more do you want?

Heading South on 441, turn right on 80th Street. The Santos trailhead will be almost immediately on your left hand side, across from the bike shop.
Kicked my butt also
Thank |With everything packed into this trail it seems longer than it actually is. Rocky climbs, descents, switchbacks and ridges for your riding pleasure. Built in and around an old pit, this is more of a testing technical trail, not a fast flowing ride.
Thank |Trail was not clearly marked. Some of the trails within it led to nowhere. Some people chose to dispose of old tires in the water along the trail which is just an eye sore and super disrespectful.
Thank |Rocky technical trail. More annoying than fun. Slow and steep hills. Not much flow. If you like playing a goat, this is for you.
Thank |Pretty fun trail. Quite technical with some good-sized rocks and boulders. Gets pretty hairy in some spots and has some sharp turns. It's a little bit short for my taste. I prefer IMBA Red because of its length and it is a little more flowy, yet still technical. If you're at Santos, definitely check this trail out, though.
Oh, just a heads up, watch out for a guy trail running on this trail. I'm pretty sure he's not supposed to, but I have seen him at Santos a couple times. Very annoying when you feel like you have to give way to someone on foot when it's a bike trail.
Thank |Great trail to test your skills. not a very long trail but that just means yo get to do it over and over again. very fun
Thank |My favorite red at Santos! Love the short techy climbs and gnarly boulders. Great to ride both directions, love to do it several time over to really get the heart pumpin. Fun trail, don't miss it.
