To get to the Treasure Mountain trail from South Fork, travel approximately 21 miles west on Hwy 160 (you will summit Wolf Creek Pass and go about 2 miles down the west side) to forest road 725.
Shuttle option 1: From forest road 725 continue another 10 miles west on Hwy 160 (all the way to the bottom of wolf creek pass and across the flat meadow) to East Fork road. Leave a vehicle near this intersection (drive up East Fork rd. until you find a good spot, as your ride will end coming down East Fork rd.) Drive back up Wolf Creek pass and park your second vehicle at the intersection of forest road 725 and hwy 160. There is plenty of parking available here. Begin your ride by heading down forest road 725. At mile 1.8 stay right on 725 while 725C stays straight. Stay left at mile 3.6. Stay left at mile 3.8. The singletrack begins at mile 4.6. Enjoy several miles of the sweetest singletrack in southern Colorado! The singletrack will come out on East Fork road. Turn right and enjoy the 6 miles of downhill forest road back to your vehicle.
Shuttle option 2: If you have a high clearance 4wd vehicle, you can shuttle to the top of the trail. Leave a vehicle at East Fork road as described in shuttle option 1, or if you want to avoid riding the 6 miles of forest road at the end on East Fork road, you can drive up East Fork road to the lower Treasure Mountain trailhead, and park near it. Drive your second vehicle up to forest road 725 (10 miles back up hwy 160 Wolf Creek Pass). At mile 1.8 of road 725, continue right on 725 while 725C stays straight. 725 now becomes more primitive and heads up towards treasure mountain. Stay left at mile 3.6. Continue until the signage indicates no vehicles, then park. Its a short ride up to the top of the trailhead from here. Ride 6.5 mile of great singletrack. After completing the singletrack at East Fork road, turn right on East Fork road and ride 6 miles of downhill forest road back to your vehicle.
Ride the whole loop option 1: Park near the intersection of East Fork rd and hwy 160 (as explained in shuttle option 1). Ride up Wolf Creek pass for approx 10 miles, turn right on forest road 725. At mile 1.8 of forest road 725, stay right on 725 while 725C stays straight. Stay left at mile 3.6. Stay left at mile 3.8. The singletrack begins at mile 4.6. Enjoy the sweet singletrack descent, you've earned it! The singletrack will come out at East Fork road, turn right, and ride about 6 miles of downhill forest road back to your vehicle.
Ride the whole loop option 2 is the same route as option 1, but park at the intersection of forest road 725 and hwy 160. You will get on the trail quicker this way, but will finish the ride with the huge climb up Wolf Creek Pass!
