start at parking area on Stenner Creek just inside the cattle guard. Ride up the road to the Y and turn right. Go through the gate and turn left. First part of the ride is single track through cow pasture. Cross rail road track and continue steep switch back singe trck up hill. Caution on single track bridges. Continue riding until you reach the old fire road about half way up. Turn right on the road and continue until you ingle track running off to the left. This will climb a short way and then make a hairpin turn back to your right. The end of the Morning Glory trail will be to your left. Ride to the top. Very steep and rocky. Once you hit the top you can go left on Tower Road to the start of Morning Glory, or turn back and go down a you came up.

You can access Shooters from Poly Canyon, Stage Coach Road, or the top of West Cuesta Ridge (top of the grade highway 101). Killer single track with big loop options via fire road/paved road to Morning Glory (primo single track), Cerro Alto (more single track) , and Poly Canyon (fire road with of course more single track).
Trail with nice view to SLO and morrw.bay, nothing technical some small bumps you can jump a little this trail is a better choice for going up after the morning Glory.
Thank |A great descent and not too bad of a climb back out either. From the trail head, it's about a one mile climb up the road. The gate will be on your left. This trail has less chunk than Morning Glory so you won't get beat up as much. Watch out for folks climbing up and if you want to take in the views, you can probably find a hawk or two circling within the canyon.
