Mountain Biking White Tail
#39 of 403 mountain bike trails in Georgia
This is the main "outer loop" at chicopee. The singletrack is generally wider and easier than the trails on the inside of the loop. There are still several challenging but fun sections such as champagne hill, and the boardwalks in the lowlands. As with most of the trails at Chicopee, expect there to be a ton of roots! Also, be prepared for a deep stream crossing year round near the old dam, and a short gravel road grind back to the Tortoise trail to return to the trailhead.

I-85N to I-985, Exit 16-Oakwood/Dawsonville. Take a left/west off the exit ramp. Immediately turn right/north at the stoplight onto Frontage Road. Follow the little brown signs to Elachee Nature Center. There is a bike parking lot past the golf course.
