Mountain Biking Konigstuhl
#21 of 151 mountain bike trails in Germany
The area is great for just about every skill level. Good XC, all-mountain, and also some decent downhill/freeride. The nice thing is that you can ride these trails a dozen times and not take the same trail more than once or twice. Although I seem to take the same ones over and over, but that is because I know I love those trails and down want to spend time to find other good ones. Hope this helps. Enoy!

From downtown Heidelberg you can get to the Konigstuhl (the mountain that the Heidelberg Castle is on) or across the river you can climb that side as well (Wieser Stein). There are many ways up both of these, and just as many ways coming down. Just head towards one of the mountains and start to head up and you will get to the top. Also good starting point is from the US military base Mark Twain Village. If you just want downhill, then you can either drive up or take the bus up to Konigstuhl (follow signs for the castle)
