Mountain Biking Park-rd. Short Trails.
#162 of 549 mountain bike trails in North Carolina
Single-track that leads you to the bottom of the creek where you will have to cross on foot. Follow the white markers on the trees. On the 2nd part you will have to ride up under downed power lines. They are incative this will put you behind the lower softball field. The third part of the trail is not safe and has not be maintained. It was behind the well off of Archdale. I would suggest biking on the road and starting the trails over and going back where you started from? Rode both trails at least two times for adequate rides. I built the first part and the second & third parts already existed. Nice quick ride with some views. DO NOT DO THE WELLS SECTION!

When entering Park-Rd-Park look for the basketball courts to the right of them you will see an entrance to the woods & also a white-marker on a tree. This will be tight as you start going left, feel free before you stay up on the trails to take a drop off down to the creek. You will see a bridge that will take you to the other side. This will help you from crashing, you can't ride on that side as you will be behind houses. You can try to go back up the hill; which I can't or stay at the bottom of the creek to get to the crossing point of the other trails. Thia would be a straight trail a long the creek which would be easier as opposed to staying at the top. These trails need some help, as I can't maintain them as before. "Please ride" They will work you!
I have mapped out these trails and provided a google maps link below.
Green trail is easy and fun. The Blue trail is equally fun and a bit challenging at parts for beginners or even intermediate riders. There is a Black Diamond section and optional obstacles on the Blue side.

Thank |Great trail close to Charlotte. Good for both beginners and advanced riders. My ten year old rides here and the green trail is perfect for him.
Thank |really nice couple of miles.
there's not a lot of trail, so you'll need to do a couple laps to put in any sort of serious mileage. but the short distance is packed with a couple punchy climbs, a few skinnies and a fairly technical mix of rocks and roots. the trail was well-marked and maintained.
not the place for an epic all-day trek, but a really great change of pace for a quick after work ride.
Thank |Fun trails with a few obstacles and some sections of small rock gardens, tight turns w/climbs, etc. Trails were a little difficult to find. I will include directions to finding trailheads at the end of this review. Was concerned after reading other reviews but found the trails to be in really good shape - well maintained and seemed to be ridden regularly.
To find trail: Enter the park and stay right toward the baseball fields. Continue through parking lots to far back right of park - by fields 5&6. There is a bulletin-board type kiosk beside parking lot. When facing kiosk, trailhead to shorter section is at edge of woods on right, other trail head is at edge of woods to your left.
Thank |Go ride this trail. There has been a lot of effort to get this to be rideable, and well marked. A new section has been put in and a trailhead is located toward the back of the park. Similar style to BYT, but a bit easier. There is a short beginner section loop.
Thank |Let me start by saying that I am a long time road cyclist but just recently got into mtb. I have ridden Beatty, Sherman Branch, Harrisburg Half Short Track, and Renaissance Park Trails. This was by far the least fun I've had on an area trail. This is the only trail I have to plans to ride in the near future. Let me also say that I currently ride single-speed, rigid. The trail was very hard packed and unforgiving. It is also very overgrown right now. More than once, I had a brush with some thorn bushes. I may have done just as much walking, as I did riding. Not as much flow as I would have hoped, save for the beginner section that starts at the far side of the softball field. At least it gave me a good workout. Needs to be cleared of all the overgrowth and ridden more to loosen up the hard-packed ground
Thank |What matt3000 said. It is fun and has had a lot of new work. It needs to be ridden more.
Thank |About 3.5 miles. Nice trail that was just reworked. A little bit tight and twisty in some spots. There are some cool obstacles and skinnies to ride as well!
Thank |The trail takes you to the right upon entrance not left!
Sorry.
