Mountain Biking Cross Mountain Trail
#632 of 1,383 mountain bike trails in Colorado
This trail is mainly a connector trail from the east side of the mountain to the west and can be ridden both directions. Although short in distance, Cross Mtn. traverses between 10,400-11,000 feet through dense forest and is the higher route across the mountain. Smooth, rocky, rooty and a few bridges. Pick up a free trail map at any bike shop or lift ticket office. Yes there is lift access but not required.

From exit #116 on I-70 take Hwy 82 some 38 miles to Brushcreek Rd (R) which takes you to Snowmass Village. (approx 5.5 miles) There are numerous parking options once you get there. From Base Village, there are a few ways to ascend to this trail.
