North end starts at Grant and Palm just off the Guadalupe river trail. South end starts at 87 / 85 intersection.
I live close by to this trail and I find it's a good run to find out if the bike is in tune before setting up for a larger trail. That being said, Once you get south of the 101 you have the entire path to yourself. If you continue on in the path north of the 101, you connect with the sloughs in the Santa Clara/Alviso area.
In a technical or endurance evaluation this trail offers no challenge what so ever. Doesn't mean it's a bad trail, you just aren't going to get any challenge here.
Thank |Years ago I took this trail instead of the light rail for my commute because I loved everything about it! Running water from the Guadalupe River with interweaving paved pathways (in downtown) never disappointed. The Northern end was a bit rough though I took it past the paths end and just rode on the river bank with dirt and gravel. I was often alone but it is a better ride with friends since there are homeless hangouts along route. F.Y.I. Riverbank = Little flying bugs. When it is warm wear glasses in-case you fly into them.
