Mountain Biking Kaintuck Trail
#90 of 169 mountain bike trails in Missouri
Recommend taking this trail clockwise but either way you'll get a cardiovascular workout. The trail is mostly singletrack but there is a mix of doubletrack and fireroads. Trail is shared with horse and hikers but I've never seen anyone out there the three times I've ridden it. There is evidence of horse of course and it adds to the cardio. The uphills are technical and tiring and the downhills are technical due to the rocks but very ridable. Not recommended for beginners at all though. It might just turn them off to riding. There are a network of trails if you don't want to spend hours riding the outer loops you can always bail on a shortcut to the trailhead. Lots of creek crossings. The water feels so good on a hot summer day. Great place to stop and cool off for a bit.

From Newburg take Y Hwy south for approximately 6.5 miles to RD 1576 (Kaintuck Rd) and take right on left side of the road there are a couple of trail heads that are marked. The trail head I used is about 3.5 Miles from the intersection on left. From Saint Robert take I-44 to St Louis get off interstate at Exit 169 and take Hwy J south for 1 mile then left onto State Route P for 2.8 miles to State Route AA. Right onto AA and follow for 1.5 miles and take right onto Rd. 7550. Follow 7550 for 1.5 miles and take right onto Kaintuck Rd. Trail head is .5 miles on right. Or continue on Kaintuck and find the other trailheads on right.
