Great singletrack for beginners, or anyone who wants easy to moderate singletrack. The trail is well maintained with solid log bridges and 2x4 bridges. The main track is a short loop that can be done in 20 minutes easy. The track is on a slight grade to make a nice light climb. Tight switchbacks can add to the challenge for experienced riders who keep their speed up. Also, follow the fire road past the loop connector to the end to find a challenging downhill single track that leads right to the river. Turn around for a very challenging climb to get back to the fireroad.

The trailhead/parking lot is on south side of OH-307 between Bates Road and S County Line Road. If you are unfamiliar with Madison, take route 90 to OH-528 (exit 212). Go south on 528 and make the first left onto 307 (Warner Road). Cross Bates Road and watch for the gravel lot on the right (south). If you hit S County Line, you missed it. Turn around and try again.
Once parked, ride south past the gate on the gravel fire road. The connector to loop is on the right; there should be a ‘Trail’ sign posted. Connector hits loop. (I suggest counter-clockwise, but it doesn’t matter. Do both). You can follow the fire road past the loop connector to its end; here is the start of a downhill singletrack to the river.
