Mountain Biking Mt. Zion Bike Trails
#1 of 37 mountain bike trails in Mississippi
The main loop is 9 miles of flowy fun! The climbs are always rewarded with some fun descents. LOTS of trail candy. Wooden berms, walls and tabletops. Lots of Dirt berms, 14ft see-saw, at least 30 wooden bridges. The jumps have by-passes. There's is also shorter alternate 6-mile loop, a 2-mile beginner loop and a 1-mile kids loop. Trails are well marked and SS friendly. Open pavilion at trailhead has a fridge with a popsicle waiting for you after your ride! Restroom of the portable variety and a bike wash. Thank |Well manicured network of trails with a little something for everyone. If your in the area or looking for a new trail to ride Mt. Zion will not disappoint.
Thank |Trail was awesome! Rode with a local who new the trails and was able to follow off all the drops. Most seemed to be in the 2 to 3 foot range. If I am ever back in the area I plan to make it a point to return.
Thank |Fairly dry even though there has been recent rain
Thank |Some puddles in low sections
Absolute blast! The track is in incredible shape, well maintained and the people who run it are some of the nicest you'll meet. 10/10 will recommend!!
Thank |Some of the best trails I have ever had the pleasure of riding. Well thought out and well maintained. Bring cash to make a small donation, a fair request as the trails are super nice!
Thank |Great trails and very well maintained.
Thank |We headed North out of New Orleans to get to some actual Mountain Bike trails in Mississippi. It took us over two hours to get to the Mt. Zion Bike trails, but it was seriously worth the drive. We'd like to apologize to the trail builders in advance that we're reviewing Mt. Zion on department store bikes. These trails are awesome, meticulously maintained, and obviously well loved. The first thing you see when you get to the trailhead is a neat area to chill after your ride -complete with complimentary popsicles. Don't forget to bring a few bucks to slip into the donation box for these guys as they're really putting a lot of time and effort into these trails. There were so many drops and perfect jumps built into these trails. These trails were a TON of fun. We'd suggest that if you are within driving distance from Mt. Zion you make it a point to get out there and ride it!
Thank |This trail is legit. Lots of uphills! But the down hills are rewarding. There are some North Shore like wooden features here and there, a pretty difficult Cecil, and one section that is extremely steep downhill but bypassable. This is the best trail within three hours of New Orleans for sure.
Thank |Rode for the first time Saturday (5/19) The local caretakers were extremely friendly and very helpful. The trail was far better than I could imagine. Very well maintained with lots of cool obstacles. Nice climbs that are challenging with great down hills as a reward. Can't wait to go again.
Thank |The most enjoyable I've experienced so far. Just the right amount of up hill challenges without the dreaded soul crushing cardio burn. This, along with too many burms, bridges, and descents to count, I can't wait to make the 4 hour drive to return. They told me entering the trail head I would exit with a smile on my face and they were dead on right.
Thank |First time had a blast. Well kept. Awesome people.
Thank |Awesome trail, tons of work put into it.
Thank |Great trail well kept. It's worth the drive
Thank |These are a bunch of stand-up guys. My wife and are on a road trip from Canada eventually making our way out west and stumble upon Mt Zion bike trails. We spent the night at their super chill trail head and did two laps in the morning before heading off. Trail drys up quick, and if you find it too easy...just ride it faster.
Thank |Well worth stopping at on your way by the area.
This is an awesome trail maintained by an even more awesome group of dedicated MTBers. Had an absolute blast, only wish the weather were nicer and had more time. Until next time...
Thank |I've rode may trails across the SE and this one of the best. Very creative obstacles, lots of bridges, and well maintained. This trail is lots of fun with a fair amount of short climbs. Be sure to donate a couple dollars when you go as these guys have a lot invested.
Thank |Just awesome!
Thank |We drove out from Oklahoma to tour the best trails the south has to offer. I will say, Mt. Zion did not disappoint! We were greeted by a welcoming sight of sofas, camp fire, outdoor fridge full of complimentary Popsicles, an outlet to plug our gear into, wash room, bike stand, and friendly locals. It's on private land, but you can tell they put tons of work and love into this place. The trail has several loops of beginner and intermediate tracks with an advanced spur. We stuck to the "RC trail" which is about 9 miles. The trails are well marked and maintained with TONS of man-made features throughout. It's a very fast and flowy trail that almost immediately starts you down endless drops and berms. You'll do plenty of climbing, but will be rewarded with long descents. Absolutely one of the best trails I've ridden. Would highly recommend!!
Thank |Mt Zion was a great track it had a little bit for every type of rider advanced, beginners, experts and they even have a 1 mile kids loop with slight uphill and downhill's and a few roots. They just had a race here a few weeks ago so the track is well cleaned. A good time to come out and ride.
