Mountain Biking Robbers Cave State Park

***   Add a review
#33 of 64 mountain bike trails in Oklahoma
#5,420 in the world

This is a tough, rocky, up and down trail with significant hike a bike. Check the topo maps of the area! The great scenery makes it all worth while. Take plenty of water and some gel and power bars!!

There are more trails there that we didn't get to ride due to time.

This is not a Mountain Biking Trail system. There is a series of multi-use trails, and there is a series of hiking trails you MAY take your bike down. The hiking trails are made up almost entirely of rocks. They range from 6"in diameter, to 3' in diameter. Approximately 70-80 percent of the trail can be ridden, CAREFULLY; however, the rest of the trail has cliffs to climb down/up, rocks too large, at least for me, to traverse with a bicycle.
It was a very fun ride, with breathtaking scenery. I also enjoyed pushing my limits a great deal. This is not a biking trail, so don't stop just for the trail, but if you are there, give it a try.

Rode approximately 16 miles on various horse trails. Really, really muddy following May rains. Will probably go back when things dry up a bit. Large awkward rocks in places. Good for stocking up your technical tool box. Don't go out of your way to visit for a bike ride, but if your already in the area.....

This trail is cut right through the hill and oaks. It is occasionally maintained and appears to be mostly a hiking trail. We've had a lot of fun biking it. Just keep in mind your off the smooth, flowing trails and in the rough. The scenery makes it well worth while. You should be in some riding shape befoe attemping this trail. A spare slimed tube, pump, water and energy bars should be taken along.
