Mountain Biking Goose Creek Falls Tr
#74 of 319 mountain bike trails in Idaho
This is a great singletrack through a heavily forested canyon alongside the Goose Cr. In '07 a local cycle organization re-worked most of the trail, rebuilding bridges and doing a lot of rock work. Although I would rate this an 'easy' ride it climbs just enough and has enough rocks to keep everyone on their toes. The corners are tight enough and the trail flows well making it a very fun ride both in and coming back down. The falls themselves aren't really that impressive but it does give the trail a destination. The only thing I found wrong with this trail is it wasn't long enough!

From New Meadows on highway 55 head East toward McCall, 4 miles turn on forest service rd to Last Chance Camp ground. Its 2 miles to the CG, the trailhead is all the way at the back of the camp ground. There is limited parking so you may have to park near the entrance and ride in.
The trail starts at Last Chance campground. Look at the Adventure Map for a better description. Its a really nice out-n-back that stays surprisingly cool when other trails are dusty. Surprisingly it makes for a really fun DH shuttle if you descend from Goose Creek Reservoir.
Thank |Important... This trail is off of hwy 55 not 95 as stated. All other directions are correct. It is a fun little trail. Somewhat technical in spots but not too challenging for the average rider. NOTE... This trail also continues another 2.5 miles to Brundage Mountain ski area which is open to mountain biking.
