Mountain Biking Fisher Creek Loop
#9 of 319 mountain bike trails in Idaho
XC
On a lucky day I caught the trail empty, however often there are several 12-30 vehicles parked at the trailhead. Ride counter-clockwise, starting with Fisher Creek Road. It begins with a narrow mountainside singletrack descent of a massive burnscape. It is not technical, smooth rolling, well maintained and beautiful. The charred forest mountain was accented by shades of sage and pastel blue in the understory. Views are amazing, and the downhill is dangerously smooth allowing for breakneck speeds. If you are in the area this is a trail you should not miss.

Very near the few buildings that make up Obsidian, the trail parking is on HWY 75 about 10 miles south of Stanley on the east side (White Cloud side) of 75. Utilize the parking area or the pullout at Fisher Creek Road. Whichever, Pedal up Fisher Creek Road 7mi of gentile fire road uphill to the trailhead and begining of singletrack.
