Mountain Biking Moore Dam
#25 of 114 mountain bike trails in New Hampshire
The trail is suited for most all abilities. It will chanllange advanced and expert riders and be a great variety of terrain for all abilities. There are nice rolling sections for beginers, mild climbs, stream and ditch crossings, on many different bridge types. The trail goes from smooth to rooty and technical, back to smooth and very twisty. Great challange for all.

Take I93 to exit 43 and then take a left (from either north or south bound) off the exit ramp. Continue on Rt 135 north for about 500 ft - 1000 ft. and take left onto Old waterford road. Continue to the end of road about 1 mile and park in the upper lot of the boat launch area. You will see signs for the trail on the left side of the lot.
This is such a great trail for most ability of riders. Some technical sections, moderate climbs and some fairly buff pine needle covered sections. Some cool features like boulders and bridges. Amazing scenery. Pack a lunch as there are a few cleared picnic areas along the trail that are right on the waters edge. It's fairly soggy in parts still as we had a long winter and some decent rain so far.cheers!
Thank |my backyard trail since last october. The local bike club does a great job of upkeeping this trail for almost year round riding. gets a good packing after some snowfalls.fun ride out or back.
Thank |I rode this today and it can be alot better. The bridges are majorly in need of great repair but it has the potential the rockdrops are nice and some nice climbs and downhills. All this trail needs is some TLC
Thank |Note- The trail starts at the right of the lot as you drive in.
It is a very technical ride with lots of roots and bridges. If it is at all wet the trail is even more difficult as the bridges are very slipery.
Thank |Overall a great ride though.
