The trail starts as a short single track and turns into a fire road, follow it until you reach B-286, cross over and drop down into the town of Dittelbrunn. Head north along Hauptstrasse and turn right onto Alois-Markert-Strasse and start climbing. At the end follow the single track to the top of the hill and go left on the fire road take the next fire road to your right. Drop down the back side of the hill and cross over the Zeller strasse. From here you are connected to a large network of tightly netted single track there are several well marked routes. The trees are marked with white triangular arrows; each route has a different colored shape painted in the center of the arrow to guide you. We followed a red circle. After about 11 miles you will arrive in Mainberg, from here climb up the paved road to Mainberg Castle and come back down through the vineyard. These trails are very similar to others in the area, they are loosely knitted networks of fire roads, single track and even some paves tractor roads. The single track is great enough to make the rest worth while. Public land access to the land is limited to the trails so please stay on them. The trails are also multi use trails so please yield to hikers.
