Route to Trailhead with Google Maps
HEAD UP COAL CREEK TO THE MICROWAVE TOWERS TO THE ENTRANCE OF AL MATADOR. RIDE DOWN TO THE SADDLE. HIKE UP ABOUT 100FT AND LOOK FOR THE TOPOGRAPHIC PIN. EASIER DROP IN IS 20FT PAST THE STEEP ENTRANCE. FOLLOW TRAIL FROM TOP TO THE ELKVALLEY RIVER BELOW. PICK UP IS @ THE "Y" IN THE ROAD FROM COKATO TO RIVER ROAD. PARK HERE. THIS A SHUTTLE DROP OR ONE HELL Of**RUNT.

    the trail is in great shape this summer 2008. with more of the upper alpine trail being chisseled out of the mountain side making it safer and more flowy.
    also the addition of the dd Booter blvd. with a ton "o" hang time and good times.
    as always ride within your abilities and play safe :)
