Single and doubletrack to the top of Sheep Mountain. Steep and rocky climb of 2000 ft. until you get to mountaintop, where there is doubletrack. Great view of Laramie Basin and Lake Hattie. Careful for hikers and during hunting season.

Take US HWY130 West of Laramie, WY 24 miles to SH 11 south towards Albany. After about 6 miles turn left on Rd 311 (Fox Creek Road). Continue another 6 miles to trailhead at Forbes Game and Fish Trailhead (Trail 386; closed Dec. 31 to June 30 due to elk overwintering and calving), or another 1.5 miles further to a small parking area and alternative trailhead just before Fence Creek. Alternatively, you can access Fox Creek Road and head north from US HWY 230 just prior to Woods Landing; look for trailhead on right after Squirrel Creek.
