Mountain Biking Hojack Trail
#163 of 301 mountain bike trails in New York
This trail is pretty easy, but it's fairly long since you can keep riding through all the paths that connect. There are a handful of fun downhills, but mostly flat, easy riding. It's a very pretty ride through the forest, with a few little bridges and a few easier uphills. You'll come across some campsites as well. Cross Lake Rd. and enjoy a sunset on Lake Ontario! (something you shouldn't miss)

If coming from Rochester, NY, take 590N until the exit for "Webster 104E." Take 104E over the Irondequoit Bay Bridge, and go roughly 3 miles until the "Holt Rd." exit. Take that exit and turn left (North) onto Holt Rd. and take Holt Rd. all the way to the end (Lake Rd....can't miss it...there's Lake Ontario!) Park your car in the Webster Park parking lot at the corner of Holt Rd. and Lake Rd..
Facing South (your back to the Lake), ride your bike into the park towards your right hand side, down a fun hill. You'll see a huge open grassy area with a couple pavillions. Just look for openings to the trail. I took the one that goes over a bridge over a creek (it's really fun to ride back over this bridge from on the trail...there's a really fun downhill!). There are a bunch of other openings to the trail as well.
Took my daughter on it today. Flat, some gravel, small amount of mud. The distance was good for her just starting trail riding. Good for dad and beginning daughter. Not my choice if I was going out alone. As previous review. Good running trail.
Thank |Not fun, mostly flat. Better for running
