Mountain Biking Park City Town Loop

*****   Add a review
#111 of 709 mountain bike trails in Utah

Town Loop Trail is an incredible ride through both Park City's mountains and it's history! Town Loop is actually composed of various other trails, which include North Sweeney Switchbacks, Drift Road, Johns Trail, The Gravedigger and Lower Daly Canyon! The climb up Sweeney Switchbacks is great fun! Just technical enough to keep you on your toes, but at a low enough grade that you can push larger gears! The climb up Drift Road is rather mundane, but very scenic (from here you can shorten the loop by jumping on the Loose Moose Trail). All thoughts of a mundane trail will vanish as soon as you start the descent down Johns Trail! Johns Trail is a true blue ribbon twisty!! From Johns you descend down the Gravedigger! The Gravedigger drops down through the pines and narrows to a ledge across an old tailings pile and into lower Daly Canyon. After a gate across the road, watch for the singletrack to pick up again on the left. From here it's all downhill back to Park City's Main Street.

Getting there
Take the Park City exit at Kimball Junction off of Interstate 80. Take State Highway 224 into Park City, approx.. 6 miles. Highway 224 turns into Park Avenue, and at the intersection of Park Avenue and Deer Valley Drive turn left (you will see two large sporting goods stores Jans and Cole Sport here). Turn right at this light, then the next left into the Park City Mountain Resort Parking lot. (Please park here instead of down the road, roadside parking is very limited and you are required to have a resident parking permit to park). Ride south on Empire Avenue, and follow the carsonite signs for the Town Loop Trail!
