Mountain Biking Russian Ridge

#318 of 1,004 mountain bike trails in California
#4,099 in the world

Lots of fireroads and some easy climbs. A good place for beginners or a quick after work ride. There are some slightly harder places, but most are very short. It's a good place to get used to some ledgier rides. It's in the sun for most of the ride (except the Ancient Oaks trail), so bring sunscreen on the warmer days.

Easy but fun trail system, coming down hawk ridge trail from the high side was breathtaking.

The trails are a mixed of fire roads and single track which is fun to ride. They added a short trail which joins a vista point with a nice view of the ocean. I usually loop through the reserve to get more mileage on the bike.

the trails themselves are not particularly impressive, but great views and just beautiful riding the whole way. highly recommended if you want a shorter ride and beautiful sunshine warming you as you go.

Good after work ride. Nice scenery along Ancient Oaks trail. Smooth hard pack that you can fly on.
