Mountain Biking Galloping Goose

****   Add a review
#143 of 1,383 mountain bike trails in Colorado
#964 in the world

Trail follows old railroad grade into Ilium valley and goes about 20 miles one way. The tread is
not very technical, the grade is quite reasonable. Another great Telluride trail, especially for
those unaccustomed to the altitude since this is a fairly easy climb.

Getting there
Trail starts across from the Conoco at the 145 junction. You'll see a sign for the trail here, be careful though, the trail access here is under construction (May 2004) and can be difficult to follow. Just keep down near the river in the beginning and you'll be ok.
