Real pretty trail, not really made for MTB. Real easy to ride with only slight grades. Great for nature junkies but a poor choice for the thrill seeker.

i am reviewing compared to other rail trails not singletrack.A great riding trail with great views of mts and the river. Not much of a grade but a little easier north to south. You will stay on the seat most of time so get lots of padding.

Still as nice as I remember. I'm more a singletrack rider, however rode this trail many times when the kids were growing up. Well, I was nursing a beat up leg and my son had a broken arm so we hit this trail from Marlinton, WV and rode nearly to Cass, WV. It was very enjoyable even though we did an out and back. That is one of the most scenic sections to me. The rating is considering it was it is a rail to trail.

just got back from a ride there this weekend with a buddy of mine. nice long trail, and it is relativly flat since it was an old train track. it would be a better road bike trail i think. long and too flat to be a mountain bike trail in my oppinion. it could be better too if there were some stops off the side where you could do some actual mounatin riding.

but for a relaxing LONG ride with nice surroundings, this is a good one.

This is a nice LONG trail to go push your bike and your self. Runs along the river.I rode the trail boths ways.Have a comfortable seat if you go and pack the essentials.
