Mountain Biking Wildwood Trails
#30 of 112 mountain bike trails in Alabama
The trails are interconnected loops. No way to getlost.Four trails come together just above the parking area. The main trail goes to the right into the woods. The trails are very technical with a lot of roots. There are lots of short steep uphills. You very seldom get a chance to rest. Delight trail runs on the bluff beside the creek and is similar to Tsali. There are some tight turns and a few dangerous drops , so be careful. The land is owned by the city of Florence so treat it nice. Don't litter!

Take highway 20 north out of Florence. Go to the second road to the right. Turn beside the city dump and go about one mile to the one lane bridge. After you cross the bridge there is a parking area about 100 yards past the bridge on the left. The trails are on the left side of the road between the creek and Wildwood road.
Great training park for technical XC riding. Little bit of everything.
Thank |A lot of upgrades in the last year, a few trails have been added and a group of us are hoping to add several more in the coming year, trail map is being updated. Several obstacles off of main trail. Great section behind old ranger station called Ranger Loop that most people don't know about. Go to Facebook and find Wildwood Park Trails, Florence AL for recent updates and activities; open to public to join.
Thank |Even though the system is small, there is a lot of variety. Fun for all skill levels. Trail handles water very good. When I rode it was raining, and had rained previous 3 days. Trail was still very firm, but the wet roots made things a little sketchy😀
Thank |Also a nice creek to rinse off in after the ride.
I have been riding Wildwood on and off for the past 4-5 years. It's definitely one of those places that you have to be willing to work a little bit to get to some of the better sections of trail. What I mean by that is, as is with most places in Alabama, it's very hilly terrain; downhills lead to climbs and vice versa. Overall definitely a fun place to ride, tons of roots, natural hips and interconnecting trails that offer both challenges and fun.
Thank |i ride this trail about twice a week. its tough with very little breathing room between hills and technical stuff, but its a great trail for a quick workout because you can ride for an hour and be beaten up the whole time. plus its like five minutes from my house.
