Mountain Biking Hernando Point
#25 of 37 mountain bike trails in Mississippi
The trail is well-maintained and consists of two sections. The first (green marker) is a short loop called Backwater. It's an easy 2.2 miles. The second section (blue marker) is called Possum Kingdom and is more strenuous. It begins halfway through Backwater at a fork. Possum Kingdom is out and back, 4 miles one way. Nice views of Arkabutla Lake, single track, nothing too technical, but not a beginner's trail. The last part of Possum Kingdom passes through hunting land, and hunter orange vests are strung to a tree during hunting season for bikers to wear.
