Hideaway Park Brewery in Winter Park, Colorado is offering Evil Bikes demos this summer right out of their taproom. The brewery is partnered with SEND Demo and will have two 29er models available – the Offering and the new Following.
Hideaway Park Brewery, run by Andy Brumenschenkel, regularly runs group rides from there throughout the summer, although coronavirus has changed operating procedures this summer. Their Tuesday night group rides usually draw upwards of 50 riders out on a summer night.
“This year will be different,” said Brumenschenkel. “We are following the rules and State laws with regards to COVID-19 to a T, so we cannot promote the ride or run it as we have in the past. We’re still a community, though. We know that riding mountain bikes and having a beer after helps people get through tough times, so we’re going to do our best to keep promoting that philosophy in the most socially responsible way we can.”
Hideaway Park started demos last year and wanted to grow the program in 2020, so they partnered with SEND Demo, run by another Winter Park local, Matt Pacocha. The demo program will be supported by Evil, Shimano, PRO Components, Lazer helmets, Schwalbe, CushCore, and Marzocchi and Fox.
Demos are currently only available by appointment, which should give customers more one-on-one interaction with the staff. Staff will help riders with the fit and bike setup, and the demos should be available in a wide range of builds and costs through November 1, 2020.
