This is going to be better than watching The Grinch on Netflix. World Ride’s last movie night of the year on December 10, 2020, is going to be a big one! World Ride’s online movie nights are a fun-filled evening spent watching popular women’s mountain bike films. These events help (virtually) bring together mountain bikers from all over while raising funds to achieve World Ride’s mission to empower women globally through mountain biking.
This very special movie night will feature the ladies of Transition Bikes: Professional Enduro racer, Hannah Bergemann, and mountain bike coaches Angi Weston and Kate Pearce. These three have chosen the secret film lineup and they will be attending the event live and participating in a Q&A session. So bring all your questions about riding your raddest ride and how to have more fun on the bike because these ladies are expert fun-havers.
If you’re not really interested in having fun (boo!) then consider pitching in $20+ for a chance to win a Transition bike worth up to $5,500. The winner will choose one of three models — Spur, Scout, or Sentinel — in their size, with a SRAM GX level build kit. And there are plenty of other great giveaway prizes from Shredly, Sierra Nevada, Bell, Osprey, and World-Ride merch up for grabs.
Enter the World-Ride + Transition Bikes Sweepstakes through December 31, 2020.
Previous movie nights have funded bike libraries that make bikes accessible to women in places like Nepal and Guatemala.
Proceeds from the December 10 movie night will go toward scholarships to women in Nepal and Iran for a mountain bike skills instructor training course that will take place either later this year or next year depending on when travel is safe again.

About World Ride
World Ride is a 501(c)3 non-profit with the mission of empowering women globally through mountain biking. We have been focused on helping get more women mountain biking in developing countries and currently work in Nepal and Guatemala. We are working on expanding our mission to Peru, Lesotho, and Iran. We help establish a “bike library” in these places so that women can borrow a bike to use and go on group rides with other women. We run mountain bike tours to the countries we work in that are guided by some of the women that we work with. We also work with organizations to develop infrastructure for mountain biking and support women in their racing goals.
