Foundry Cycles Tomahawk: A black mountain bike leaning against the edge of a wooden dock overlooking a lake, with cloudy skies and trees in the background. A water bottle is attached to the bike, and the ground shows remnants of water and mud.

#92 out of 341 Hardtail bikes
Brand: Foundry Cycles
The Tomahawk is our burly hardtail designed to do one thing: go fast on tight, twisty singletrack. It practically begs you to pedal harder and hit corners hot. The Tomahawk is designed around 27.5" wheels, a diameter which bridges the acceleration and flickability of 26" and the terrain smoothing approach angle of 29ers. In fact, it doesn't just use 27.5" wheels, it is designed completely around them. It's constructed of 40 ton carbon fiber, a material that allows an enormous range of control in tuning a frame to perform as intended. In the case of the Tomahawk, we made a bike that goes fast and lasts beyond the model year. The Tomahawk is stable but responsive. It goes where you point it. It climbs like it's diesel powered thanks to its rear wheel position, beefy stays and substantial bottom bracket junction. The Tomahawk takes a 100mm travel fork and plays well with dropper posts. Pair all of this with agile, maneuverable geometry and high traction, trail-smoothing abilities inherent in 27.5" wheels and you've got a bike that climbs and descends with equal confidence. The Tomahawk is a machine that can leave your XC competitors gasping for breath one day and crush your favorite descent the next. When the going gets tough, the tough get a Tomahawk.
