Like their recently re-released WFO 9 RDO, Niner has fully revamped the Jet 9 RDO angles to keep up with the aggressively-ridden, shorter-travel market. The suspension remains the same at 120mm rear with a 130mm fork, but the geometry should help this bike party a little harder.
Internal cable routing on this new Jet 9 is guided with a “full sleeve” system to make cable and hose swaps quick. The frame also features double-row Enduro MAX Black Oxide rocker link bearings and a trunnion shock mount for an overall stiffer and smoother system. Niner says that the frame has a “refined suspension curve for supportive pedaling and bottomless descending.” To top it off, the carbon fiber bike comes with a lifetime warranty so you can send it as deep as you like.
This sleek looking little bike should be a treat on almost any trail, with a 66° head tube when the flip-chip is switched to low, and a 75.5° seat tube angle. Niner says that the frame’s straight seat tube should allow most riders to mount a 170mm dropper post, with 376 to 496mm seat post lengths across the size run. Reach measurements for the four frame sizes are 419, 444, 469, and 494mm in low mode. In the high position, the seat tube and head tube steepen by 0.5° and the reach lengthens by 6mm.
Complete bikes are available with five different component kits ranging from $4,100 for a bike with Fox Performance suspension and a SRAM SX Eagle drivetrain to the top model with a SRAM AXS X01 drivetrain, Fox Factory suspension, and DT Swiss XCM 1200 carbon wheels for $9,550. Head over to Niner for further details on the new Jet 9 RDO.
