Mountain Biking Wilderness Park Trails
#68 of 90 mountain bike trails in Kansas
This is a fun trail. Most of it is double track with chat rock base. There are some nice technical sections. Climbs, downhill, low water creek crossings, and single track. The southwest corner of the property is where you will find all the single track. Some is rideable but most is bushwhack. This trail has great potential. It just needs some dedicated volunteers to help get her back into shape!

If traveling from the north take US-69 south to W McKay St and turn west. Go about 3/4 of a mile and the entrance will be on your left. Trailhead is to the east. If traveling from the west take US-400 to KS-47 at Fredonia and go east. At US-59 turn south and go 1 mile to KS-47 and turn east. Follow aka-47 to US-69 and turn south. Go 4 miles to W McKay St. and turn west. Go 3/4 of a mile to the entrance on your left. Trailhead it to the east.
This could be a nice trail. You have to ride the double track to get back to the single track. With some nice climbs and declines , twists and turns, the single track has great potential as you can see in my pictures. I walked some and rode what I could to get back to the double track. Still a fun ride. Lots of foot traffic, be careful!
