Mountain Biking Prickly Pear
#199 of 256 mountain bike trails in Wyoming
Prickly Pear flanks the east side of the Beck Lake Trail System for about 1.9 mi. Going out it is an easy, fairly entertaining climb. It can be used to connect to several other trails in the system. If you use Prickly pear as a return trail, it is a fun, flowy, downhill run with many bermed curves, and some rock here and there, but not much. It maintains speed and flow quite well.

Follow 14th Street in Cody south until it turns into Reservoir Road. Follow Reservoir Road to its end. Park here. You will see a paved bike path running south from the end of the parking lot and along the lake. The access trail (The Good Life Trail) to all the Beck Lake trails is adjacent to the paved trail on the left. Prickly Pear begins at the end of The Good Life Trail. It starts just after you cross the little foot bridge over the little Cody Canal.
