Santa Cruz is helping Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship raise trail funds
Five bucks a foot. That’s about what it takes to build a new trail, and Santa Cruz is helping the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship (SBTS) raise funds by raffling off a styled-out Megatower. Not only that, Santa Cruz will match funds raised up to $75,000. For ever foot of trail sponsored, contributors will receive one entry in the drawing.
The SBTS says, “The money raised in this year’s 5 Bucks a Foot campaign will help many more exciting projects on the horizon, including a new singletrack connection from Taylorsville up to the existing Mount Hough trail that’s breaking ground this summer. The 19-mile Beckwourth Peak trail in Portola is being built currently, thanks to funding support from previous 5 Bucks a Foot campaigns.”
