San Rafael, Calif. – January 8, 2008 – Trips for Kids (TFK) proudly announces its annual “Brews, Bikes and Bucks” raffle event will take place Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the Broken Drum Brewery in San Rafael, Calif. from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Now in its tenth year, this fundraising event has become an annual gathering of local mountain bike legends and is a much anticipated tradition in Marin County. The local legends likely to be on hand include Gary Fisher, Tom Ritchey, Joe Breeze, Ned Overend, Scott Nicol, Jacquie Phelan, Otis Guy, Ross Shafer, Charles Kelly, Mert Lawwill and Chris Lang.
“We have a great afternoon of food and drinks, raffles and just plain fun planned,” said Marilyn Price, founder and director. “We invite all of our friends and supporters to come join us for our annual Brews, Bike and Bucks event.”

Admission to the event is free and attendees are encouraged to come earlier to score a seat and good food before the ongoing raffle begins. Bike-related prizes will be raffled throughout the afternoon, including the grand prize of a Jamis Dragon Comp mountain bike (retail value $1,235) donated by Jamis Bicycles.Advance raffle tickets are on sale now at the Broken Drum and at Trips for Kids’ Re-Cyclery Thrift Shop in San Rafael. Tickets are also available at the event. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.
All proceeds from the event’s food and drink sales go to benefit Trips for Kids, thanks to the generosity of Broken Drum Owner, Noah Berry. The Broken Drum Brewery is located at 1132 Fourth Street, San Rafael, CA, (415) 456-4677.
The Trips for Kids Re-Cyclery Bike Thrift Shop is located at 610 Fourth Street, San Rafael, Calif.
