Mixed-wheel mountain bikes rolled onto the scene a few years ago and promised to silence the 27.5 / 29er wheel debate once and for all. Why choose just one wheel size when you can have both?
Now that many riders have had a chance to consider mixed-wheel bikes, and test ride them too, we’re interested to know where things stand with you, dear readers.
Tell us why you do or don’t own a mixed-wheel mountain bike in the comments below. And if you’re thinking about converting your bike to mixed-wheel, read our guide.

I liked it so much, the next bike I sought out a frame that offered the same. That bike is the pivot switchblade.
I really do feel the best of both words wrapped in one bike. Love that the rear wheel trails close behind, especially on tight switchbacks, and a lower profile on steep descents.
They thing I have had to watch out for is the rear wheel can pop up higher like a donkey kick.
Not usually what I’m going for, unless maneuvering a tight switchback. Just need to muscle up the front end a little to compensate when taking a jump.
