Mountain bikers come in all sizes, and fortunately our bikes do too. Of course sizes aren’t set in stone, and plenty of riders choose a size based on something other than their height. For a time mountain bike frames were sized by seat tube length; more recently, Specialized introduced a sizing system system with numbers that range from one to six. Most manufacturers today size their bikes from “extra small” to “extra large.”
Why did you choose the size that you ride? Tell us in the comments below!

You are so barely above average yet you consider yourself some kind of odd size.
You are without a doubt a size large from literally any manufacturer. WY would you care about how much post sticks up? Isn't it the dream to get maximum drop where the collar is nearly slammed at your ideal pedaling height?
I just hear this response from people my exact height and I cannot understand where it comes from.
