How slack is too slack when it comes to mountain bike head tube angles?

Mountain bike head tube angles are still trending slacker, particularly within the trail bike category. At a high level, a slack head tube angle improves downhill handling at the expense of climbing performance. Of course it’s important to consider a bike’s head tube angle in conjunction with the rest of its geometry but in general we want to know what you think about modern head tube angles.
