Mountain Biking Arizona Trail: Passage 42 Kaibab Plateau North
#1,298 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado
This passage of the AZT (Passage 42) is comprised mostly of singletrack with some two-track thrown in. It is best ridden from point to point south to north because the general elevation descends in that direction. Most of the trail is in ponderosa pine forest and pinyon-juniper woodland. It is a pretty easy ride with no serious technical portions nor difficult climbs. It is usually ridden in conjunction with Passage 43 the final passage of the AZT. While the riding on Passage 42 is fine, Passage 43 is really good and significantly more challenging.
