This is a good starting Cross Country Mountain Bike. I went from a basic MTB to this one when I decided to invest a little more money into biking. It's excellent to start with, huge bike with nice 29" wheels. It's really not very heavy for the kind of bike that it is. The feel of it is very solid, and steady, I'm a really big guy too, and never felt more secure on it. Definitely needs an upgrade to the front fork, but checking out the prices, it would almost be easier to buy a better bike.

Overall for starters it's excellent!
