Rider questions

Q: what is retail new for this bike
A: This bike isn't made anymore. The closest thing today would be the Marlin line which retails between $490 and $710, depending on component spec. If you're considering this bike, also have a look at our budget hardtail buyer's guide: http://www.singletracks.com/blog/mtb-gear/buyers-guide-budget-hardtail-mountain-bikes/ Trek does still produce the 820 which is their entry-level bike, priced at $370. Trek claims their 3-series mountain bikes are (were?) the world's best selling mountain bike. Surprising to see they don't sell them anymore in the USA. http://www.trekbikes.com/int/en/bikes/mountain/sport/3_series/

Q: Wheel size is irrelevent. Google "Trek Bicycle Sizing" and it will prob say a Med/ 15-17inch frame is what you want.
